Reinstatment of flèche on the Old Boy' High School
Our first project was fundraising for the reinstatement of the flèche on the Old Boy' High School building on Worcester Boulevard. As well as being a great visual feature of the building, the flèche originally acted as a ventilator. The original flèche has not been seen on the building for many years. It was removed as an earthquake risk, but the reconstructed flèche, which is now in place, has been engineered to full earthquake code.

Restoration of the fireplace in Professor Scott's Office
Professor Robert Julian Scott (1861-1930), cousin of Captain Robert Falcon Scott, was appointed lecturer in charge of the new School of Engineering at Canterbury College in 1889, and thereafter he devoted himself tirelessly to creating a successful engineering school. At the time of his appointment, Engineering shared space in the School of Art. By the time of his retirement in 1922, he laft behind him not only the legacy of a successful and higly regarded department but the largest group of buildings on the site devoted to a single department ( though the last of these, the building housing the electrical machine lab was not completed until 1923)
